What're diabetes problems?


 Too much glucose in the blood for quite long time may cause diabetes mellitus problems. This high blood glucose can damage parts of the body, such as blood vessels, the heart, eyes, and kidneys. Heart and blood vessel disease might lead to heart attacks and strokes. You might do a lot. This booklet is about kidney problems. You'll learn the things you may do every day and during every year to remain healthful and prevent diabetes mellitus problems.


What should I do every day to remain healthful with diabetes?

When kidneys are healthful, the artery brings blood and waste from the blood stream into the kidney. The glomeruli clean the blood. Then waste and excess fluid go out to the urine during the ureter. How can I prevent diabetes kidney issues that are mellitus?


Try to keep your blood sugar as close to normal as possible. Ask your physician what blood glucose numbers are healthful for you. Keep your blood pressure below 130/80 to help prevent kidney damage. Blood pressure level consists of two numbers. For example, 120/70 is said as 120 over 70. Ask your physician what numbers are best for you. Keeping your blood pressure level may slow down or prevent damage. Keep your blood pressure below 130/80.

Ask your physician if you need to take pills to slow down bladder damage. Two types are available: ACE inhibitor (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors) & ARB  (angiotensin-receptor blockers) - Follow the healthful eating plan you work out with your physician or dietician.This test is called the microalbumin test. Have your blood test at least once a year for creatinine. The outcome of this test should be utilized to estimate your glomerular filtration rate, a measure of kidney function. Pills may help you control your blood pressure level and slow down kidney damage. Have any other bladder tests that your physician thinks you need. Avoid taking analgesic regularly.


Who are at high alert for diabetes?


  • A woman having a waist circumference of 35 inches or more
  • A man having a waist circumference of 40 inches or more



Be Smart enough if you want to control diabetes fast


  • Cut down your sugar intake. Replace your sugar with honey or jaggery.
  • Check label before buying any products. See the nutritional column so know how much sugar is added in the product. Differentiate between natural and added sugar in the product.
  • Get more active – perform physical exercise daily.



Control your cholesterol level - Control your diabetes

Eat these food more


  • Healthy fats especially omega-3 fatty acids from nuts, olive oil, fish oils, flax seeds, or avocados
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables— The more colourful the better it is; try to have whole fruit rather than juices
  • High-fiber cereals and breads made from whole grains
  • Fish, shellfish, organic chicken or turkey
  • High-quality protein such as low-fat dairy, eggs, beans, and unsweetened yogurt



Avoid or Eat these less


  • Deep-fried foods  or trans fats from partially hydrogenated
  • Packaged and fast foods, especially those high in sugar, baked goods, sweets, chips, desserts
  • Sugary cereals,  white bread, , refined pastas or rice
  • Processed meat and red meat
  • Prefer low-fat products that have replaced fat with added sugar, such as fat-free yogurt
